On this technical tour, buses will transport participants from the conference venue to the Øresund Bridge. This guided coach portion of the tour will pass through the toll station and cross the bridge to the artificial island of Peberholm (the “Pepper Island”).

Peberholm is a truly unique destination. The island is closed to the public and hosts a rare flora and fauna not commonly found in Sweden or Denmark. During the tour, you will learn the story of Peberholm and how the Øresund Bridge has reduced its energy consumption by 55% and is now generating large-scale solar power.

Participants will also enjoy a short walk along the railway deck beneath the motorway deck. Experts will be available during the walk to answer technical questions.

Suggested attire: Casual clothing is recommended; however, participants must wear sturdy, comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes. Hard hats and safety vests will be provided for this tour.
