Thousand Islands International Bridge

Opened August 18, 1938

Spans the St Lawrence River from Ontario to New York, it is actually a system of five bridges—two are cable-supported. Opened jointly by Mackenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada and US President, Franklin Roosevelt, the system spans 8 miles.
