The first long-span bridge of its kind to be designed in China. The steel deck was erected by raising pre-assembled units weighing up to 500 tons each. It won an award in 2002 by the International Bridge Conference.
The bridge connects Jiangyin south of the river to Jingjiang to the north in Jiangsu, China. It carries three lanes of traffic in both directions plus pedestrian sidewalks.
