The Farø-Falster Bridge

Opened 4 June, 1985

In 1976, the Danish Parliament wanted to build a motorway between Ronnede and Sakskøbing that would include two large bridges. Opened by Queen Margrethe II, the south bridge was one of the first cable-stayed bridge in Scandinavia and connects the islands of Falster and Zealand through the island of Farø in Denmark.
